This opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Web Developer to join our Consumer Digital team. The Web Developer works within a team responsible for development and maintenance of various TPG, iiNet, Internode and Westnet websites supporting strategic business initiatives for internal and external customers with priorities largely influenced by these stakeholders and overall business objectives.

This is a permanent full-time role, open to all locations across Australia.

Responsibilities

• Develop high quality, modern, responsive, websites and web-based applications by applying patterns, techniques and best-practice approaches to ensure code is easy to maintain.
• Update website content, publish marketing campaigns, product launches and pricing updates.
• Drupal configuration, module and theme customisation.
• Peer review code to provide feedback on design and maintainability.
• Perform unit & regression testing to ensure solutions are functional with minimal defects.
• Respond to reported faults, bugs, and change requests.
• Actively monitor feedback from internal and external customers.
• Identify and propose improvements to existing Web applications.
• Scope and create design solutions and documentation that best fits the intended strategy and message.
• Creation of prototypes, UI, IA, graphical and architectural requirements.
• Educate themselves and fellow team members on established best practices, current/latest technologies and trends, upcoming technologies and their potential benefit/risk to the group.
• Maintain relationships with various stakeholder teams including IT, Marketing, Products, HR, DevOps etc.

Knowledge and experience

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in the IT industry
• Web development experience with HTML, SASS, CSS, JavaScript
• Proficient in CMS and relevant platforms to deliver daily work
• Sound understanding in Git/Gitflow
• Experience in cross-browser development
• Experience across Drupal framework development is desirable but not essential.
• Some experience with MarTech platforms such as Adobe Target and Google Optimise is desirable but not essential.
• Some hands on experience with at least one Javascript Framework such as Angular, ReactJS, PHP and Twig is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to demonstrate efficient coding skills
• Decent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A proactive and team oriented professional
• Excellent time management skills
